The Lincecum Giants
On Monday November 1, 2010 as many people watched Monday Night Football, and some NBA games with their League Pass, a small majority of the world tuned in to watch Giants pitcher Tim Lincecum take over the world. That Monday night Lincecum lead his team to victory over the Texas Ranger to become World Series champions. He is the only pitcher in the post season to ever beat Ranger’s pitcher Cliff Lee who he beat twice and most importantly when it counted during Monday’s game to become champs. Cliff Lee of the Ranger was undefeated in post season play with a record of 7-0. Lincecum, the NL’s CY Young winner the past two years dominated in the two games he pitched in the World Series. He pitched eight innings in the final game striking out 10 Texas Ranger on his way to Victory, doing something that not even Barry Bonds could do; lead the Giants their first World Series in History.
